You are here Lifestyle & Family / Oh So Soft

Oh So Soft

By A Cowboy's Wife | May 31, 2011

Do any of you have any idea how much I hate laundry?  I hate it sooooo much that I’d rather hire someone to do JUST my laundry.   Well a while back, I was sent some of the new fabric softener, Purex Crystals.  Now I’ll be honest and say that I completely forgot about it. Yes, I had been washing clothes but I kept forgetting to put the crystals in.   Well, my oldest son Tyler has always washed his own clothes and came up to me a couple of weeks ago saying how much he loves the new crystals.  He said it smelled good and his clothes were “oh so soft”.  I giggled because I had never imagined that my son would be talking to me about fabric softener but he does love clean, good smelling clothes that are soft.

So, I decided to start using it and I have to say, he was right..it’s pretty great actually.  Then, I was telling my friend Ollie about it and she was like, “I know, I love that stuff!” So apparently I was the last one to know how awesome it was.  It’s in the form of crystals.

Some of the things that differentiate this from other fabric softeners include:

  • Most fabric softeners are oil-based which means, over time, your clothes are going to have a build up on them.  Purex Crystals is 92% natural.  The softness also lasts for weeks vs days.
  • Purex Crystals is the first major fabric softener that can say it’s 100% safe to use on kid’s sleepwear!  I know how important that will be to many of you.
  • It’s also perfect for your athletic wear. It does not inhibit wicking fibers.

So have you guys tried it?  What are your thoughts and which one do you love the most? P.S. Go Like them on Facebook and get a coupon!

I use to use the yellow bottle all of the time, love the smell. But then we switched to an HE washer and I’m not sure if I can use them in there.
