Steamy Garlic Chicken with Perfect Vegetables

By A Cowboy's Wife | June 10, 2010

Sounds delish doesn’t it?  Well, I cannot tell a lie, it’s actually Lean Cuisine’s Market Creations and since I’ve been incorporating them into my daily eating habits, I’ve lost a few pounds which is really exciting for me.

The quality is outstanding because it’s in a steam pouch vs the regular tray. This particular kind has 270 calories, 6 grams of fat and 4 grams of fiber.  I remember back when I was 21, I had to have surgery and they insisted that eat a low fat/low calorie diet. I lose a lot of weight at that time which is why I think I’m losing weight now.  Bags like these are especially helpful to me.  A lot of the time, my boys and husband don’t eat much lunch because of the heat and with these on hand, I can eat something good and filling and if they decide they are hungrier than they thought, then they can also heat them up a bag.

THE TASTE

SOOOOOO pleased with the taste.  In fact, they are REALLY, REALLY good.  The chicken was great and the vegetables were wonderful!  I loved the variety given in this bag and was impressed with the veges.  We’ve all had crummy vegetables with quick meals like this but these were perfect. You’ve got to try them.  Flavorsome and the perfect amount of crunchiness.  To be honest, it felt and tasted like homemade which is probably why I loved it so much.  Yes, I could make it from scratch and there will be times where I will do that but in the Summer, I’m often trying to keep the house cool by cooking in the microwave, pressure cookers, and outside.  It’s an easy fix for me and my family and that’s something I can appreciate.

There are over 8 varieties so you always have a choice and the price? Only $2.98!  Heck yeah!  I expected it to be more because of the quality and flavor so that’s bonus points.

Might I add that it makes for a beautiful presentation too!  Have you tried them??

Lori, my wife is a lean cuisine eater and she’s excited to try these out. I was wondering if you felt like the portion was big enough for a man. It seems like many of these are the perfect portion size for a woman but not quite enough for a man. These do look homemade so I think I would like them.

I am a 40 year old mom, and I have been losing tons of weight with the lean cuisines. They are delicious, quick, and help me with portion control. I wish that they would even make new ones.

Good choice. Yes, you will lose pounds easily replacing these with your regular meals. Good luck with that.
